I never knew
how much I would miss you until
         it was far too late
to let you see what I held

         deep inside  me...

the heartbeat of love
always sees through
    the glaring
         lights and noisiest days
merging into
    silent nights
              of cold remedies

my soul dangled within a deep purple haze

purple was never my favorite color
â€˜cept when worn by a flower
              or a child
but the sound
     was oh so comforting

sitting here tonight looking for something
     purple to dream
              into the blue

Regrets are a terrible thing, much like there is no guarantee that we'll get back what we give..

I know this too....dream sweet Kacy!

(smiles) Oh Kacy, this is beautiful, sweet friend, this is tinged with sadness yet I felt the Jimi Hendrix xpirit in this and the spiritual call through the mist! (kiss on cheek) I love this, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Kacy,
purple is the colour of rolalty and also the colour of healing so take heart that you are dreaming in purple.

The worst of all thoughts is that you weren't able to see. You put those thoughts very eloquently, and made me think about my own regrets. A very, very well written poem.

I am humbled by your replies to this purple dreaming poem. It seemed to be too vague at first, but that's the way inspiration can be some days.
Yes, purple often has a royalty connection, and a healing element beyond imagination. Actually, the color purple was the very color I locked onto when using meditation and self-hypnosis techniques to overcome pain after a serious injury years ago. I focused on releasing the color purple from my entire body, after labeling each element of pain as 'purple.' I know it sounds strange, but it worked for me.
