******
To love someone more than self
is what true love is

Wanting the best for the other person
Unselfish Love
Even if it may not be what
you  want

But you, knowing what you want at
the very moment
may not be the best for you both
as a couple

Therefore, you try to convince him that
much thought
of the many circumstances should be taken
into consideration

Not diving into the thing
quickly
desperately trying not to make past mistakes
all over again

Knowing in your heart that this can
not happen
For even though circumstances may be similar
he is totally different

Because you finally realize that he loves you
in exactly the same way
as you love him

Happiness and everlasting love is what
should
come about from an
Unselfish Love

If only
we could
be sure
beyond
a shadow
of a
doubt

IF
only

(big hugggssssss) Oh Ethel, I too wish I could have a glimpse of eternity if ever for a split second to reassure me that time will coem for me and for all of us! (sigh) It is so difficult to be loved in return when you love someone to the fullest, I've learned that, I hope this love you have forever lasts true, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Yes, Noah, as hard as I fight against them, the thoughts of the past still come to mind at times. I've noticed, though, that it's mostly when I'm not feeling very well physically and can't do the things that I want to do to keep my mind occupied. These are the times that those old fears and doubts start creeping back into my mind, then those thoughts don't help me physically or mentally.......

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

Yes, Seymour...wouldn't it be wonderul if we could see what the future holds? But then, it might upset me so bad that I'd have a heart attack, or something.
Thanks and hugs,
Ethel

Sudhir,
Thank you very much. I appreciate that...

Michele,
I know. Love is very complicated, sometimes. Gary says they wrote the Travis Tritt song "Strong Enough To Be Your Man" just for him, because the words to it fit me perfectly. Like I've said before, I sure am glad that he's so patient with me, because I do have a lot of different moods.
Thank you, Lady....

.
Heart hugs to you both,
Ethel

ethel, this poem captures the way that I feel.  I always put my girlfriend first and I never even considered myself, but for some reason she still decided to leave me.  I wish she could know how much I truly loved her.
