Alone, you stand on a hill
Storming in those tears
That finds your soul
In a throbbing heart
Finding your gut
In a heaving stomach
Tossing winds of thoughts
In whirlwinds of self destruction
Of your own self value

Just when, everything is wrong
A shadow blankets your warmth
Cuddling you like a lost babe
As the moisture in you
Evaporates into nature’s song
Of just how special you are
For your salvation
Is believing in your own self

Everyone having jumped
On the bandwagon
Of seeing your vulnerability
Swarming in a death march
Sensing the blood of victory
Unloading in vicious words
Of raging insensitivity

Never sensing your vitality
To circumvent impending doom
In a smile hurting inside
Saying nothing evil
Having survived
Your emotional downfall

Trapped in the truth
Things will eventually
Work itself out
For those who perpetuated it
Again, become faded ghosts
Awaiting silently
To slay your individuality
Wanting to conquer you
As a mantle piece

But as long as you can find
That hill again
That will cradle you
In the innocence of a baby
In a mother’s arms
Who will never see the lies
That others do
Taking you in, a hug that,
Drains you of your doubts

Oh fresh air, I feel much better
For the moral of this poem
Is mirrored in your face
Maybe in a tear seeing
A poets words cradle you
In the rainbow of your heart
Now shining so dynamically
Positively uniquely self assured
For in you is a very special gift
That can survive anything
For you will never be defeated
In your own cuddles

Thoughts: In all my darkness that sees me as a failure why is it that an invisible light shines through.
Thought: In words poets are created, tormented, destroyed and reinvented: whispering in them until the last breath takes them floating away in time.

(Thanks for the special poets here thay put up with me for my journey is a roller coaster)

(big hugggsssssss) Oh David, this is so very true, sweet friend, you better believe it, and we must not dwell in the darkness but rather embrace the light, if one contemplates all his life about what the darkness in, you never find an answer! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet David, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

David, a good one for the book, yes

This one got me good, hit home for me...I like this style of poetry, which I call "mood poetry".

This one is so beautiful I want it in the book. I mean it makes a person think about life. I really liked it.

Yes, another gem for the book. Well written, and wonderfully expressed.
