Picture Book VII: Smoke

A leaf resting, soft,
It sleeps beside its mother
Breath; a leaf aloft.

Swirls of wind, away,
Scentedn smoke from cedar fire's
Flames; life to rest lay.

Smoke rises high, surreal,
Speckled halo through gaussian
Blur; cycle unclear.

The first three lines made me smile; I particularly liked the leaf sleeping beside its mother...

the whole of it?  pleased me...

Thank you majnu!
