Listening to every heart

Moonless Nights

A comment slammed into me
today,
“it went into the backbone of heaven”
and I thought this
contemplation
unique…

but the originator explained
it was not original at all

the Dogon’s had seen it
more than time ago…

and their beliefs, oh, their beliefs…

Incredible…

their sight….

Heavenly…

What might we know,
yet know not what
and never know if we will
ever realize
for sure…

yet, read, explore, gather, eat of,
learn, ascribe...

I amend

to moonless nights

where I might see,
by wish, or by scoped sight,

backbones
of stars, set above…

Seek…

High

Always…

Also...the title alone may lead to more poetry...who knows?

"The backbones of stars..."

What a great image.  Nice to be able to visit--another time, another place--through more ancient eyes... but still the same sky.

Thank you very much,
