This Rock

I lay my head upon this rock.
The only pulpit that is there
My naked skin is my frock.
I am its child. I am its heir.

This is the garden of our earth
And all my prayers run through my head
This globe that gave to me my birth
And mothers me until I am dead.

I am not alone in this home.
We’ve spread through out the circles fair
Under the stars that light this dome
Covered with this blanket air.

I bow to God and changing prime.
And will I’m sure until I am dead.
Let it suffice this slice of time.
Of endless infinity’s bed

Ever so humble this rock this dome.
For that is the essence of this poem.

(sigh) An epitaph that rock may soon become speaking of the wonderful poetic soul you are, but until then embrace each day to the fullest as your grace is ever so dynamic and never silent like a stone! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I remember I visited this little pond that had no ripples. There were glorious mountains all around, I was hiding behind one of the large boulders, watching this beautiful gal skinny dip....she spotted me watching her, then I was between a rock and a hard place...and....oh, never mind....liked this rock solid poem though...

a wonderful sonnet to a wonderful Object of devotion!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
