I don’t know if I’ve been forgotten
But I feel quite alone
I feel like crying
Even though I know I’m not sad
I’ve got so much to give
But no one to give it to
And you don’t know how empty it feels

I’ve never felt like this before
So I don’t really know what to do
Every part of my life
Revolves around you
I can’t get you out of my mind
And I don’t think I want to
I’ve fallen so far in love with you

It’s quite hopeless of me
To be feeling this way
When you know and I know
It won’t make you change
But I don’t know how to be without you
Not for a minute not for a second
And I’m so scared because I’m dependent on you

I was the one sitting alone
And smiling even though I was on my own
But now I’ve met you I’m not just alone
I’m lonely because I don’t have you
Not a single part of you
I don’t even know if you care
I wouldn’t know what to do if you were never there

Confusion seems to have reached me
On another level
Because lots of things that I’ve never felt before
Seem to have hit me hard
I’ve forgotten how to cry
I’ve forgotten how to hurt
I’ve forgotten how to fall
In any other way but in love with you.

This is so sweet. Very heartfelt. I love it.

Rosie,

That's a feeling that I'm all too familiar with... sometimes--love, when it's held at a distance--makes us focus on just that want and need.  It seems only if we can have a taste of what is being held from us, that everything will fall back into place.  Your poem was very evocative of those feelings.

Thank you very much for sharing it here,

--Matt

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
