Remember the night of fireflies?
As it got late they settled into the trees
and there was a soft, cool autumn breeze
that uncombed your hair,
while I uncombed the rest of you.

My dear, so very long it’s been,
that bed of grass,
the lighted trees,
our whispers carried on the breeze
and how the scent of our lovemaking
blended so well with that of
the scarlet and ivory wildflowers.

I saw heaven in your eyes that night
and as the years passed,
only grew to love you more.

Each autumn
I gather a bouquet of those wildflowers
and place them here at your grave.
Only God knows how much I miss you, sweetheart.
Only God knows…

(big hugggssssss) Oh Michael, this is sooooooo beautifully romantic, sweet friend, the ending is sad but I know with these special memories of the summer of love your heart will always shine like the fireflies as they glow against the light of Lady Luna! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is precious, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Yay! Yes, oh Michael, I agree with Ethel, you must consider submitting this into Reflections! In case you are not sure how Reflections works, I would be happy to help you out! I would certainly vote for this!

Michael,

The night you presented--is very tangible, and even on this cold winter night--I can almost feel that warm, night summer breeze.  The love contained in the moment you brought out here--also, tangible--and textured.

Thank you for sharing,

This is gorgeous.

softly compelling, but as beautiful as it is sad.

Glad I didn't miss this, Michael. Hugs.
