"Hi, I'm death.
I have come for you.
But you will die
very, very slowly."
Says Death
As he laughs

The first thing that is done
Is that slowly
All your loved ones are taken away
And on the inside
You begin to die

The second thing done
Is you slowly get sick
And it gets worse
And worse
Until one day
You could die

"I am not going
To let you go
That easily.
You must suffer awhile
As I slowly rip
Out your soul."
Says Death
10 years down the road

He keeps bringing you to the edge
Of death
And bringing you back
As if you rallied
To live
On your own

You beg Death,
"Please, let me just be at rest.
I have suffered enough.
I am ready to die.
So let me just fall asleep
In death.
And take my soul."

Death makes you suffer
5 more years
And finally takes your soul
Your finally at rest
And death is a pest no more

Cold hands means a warm heart

This is a very insightful look into the face of what most fear. I see that not alot of people on this forum want to deal with the reality of such things, however- I appreciate honesty in all forms. Thank you.

Very interesting post. I have found, for me, as I get older the fear of death lessens.

I'm a reader - not a writer.

Julie, I'm not sure if you grandmother is still with us or not, but if she is, I do hope she is not suffering, and will rest, soon.

And I won't allow Death to make you suffer. He'll have to face me first.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Julie, this is so very heartbreaking, sweet friend, I'm so sorry your grandmother is suffering and my thoughts are with her and everyone in your family as I hope she can finally rest in peace! (wipes tears) There is nothing more I can say, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
