We sent the same words
between us,
circling again
true meaning
like vultures
gliding
on the currents
of heated
pains

Each drawing a portrait
of the other -
word sketches
in charcoal grays
and overcast days

Images outlining
details held vague
to pointillist survey,
of how one connected to one
or any related past

Impressionistic ink
blotted to indigo lips,
faded, folded napkins
raised to cover questioning
mouths

And we, in polite smiles
nod to all that pass -
not seeing us reach for
frames to hang without knowing
the image’s
mirror

(smiles) Oh Ron and Corinne, this is beautiful, sweet friends, how nice to build your own cafe within and invite all your blessings in and talk about the weather and place bonsai plants on all the windowsills! (big hugggsssssss) I love this, sweet friends, you two write so well together, yay, we all love you both so much! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet Ron and Corinne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

So creative, you two. Really enjoy it from the title, and then the first and last stanza, WOW!...the entire poem terrific and never lost the theme...

Cor... not too modest at all.. I know who wrote what remember..and I know how your imagery here carries so much of the theme..

Pat.. thank you ma'am! Glad you liked it... Cor had to compromise her style a bit so I could keep up... but carried me quite well through transition phrases as well as strong imagery...

thank you Martie... you're next... when you feel up to my arguing and aggravating ways
of all the people I have read here and tried to emulate their style... you are by far the most difficult for me to imitate... you are simply that good..and your style so uniquely colored by your heart....  hugs to you!!
