Daddy’s little girl

As I get older I remember the memories that I had with you
I remember how much you cared for me
Your smile would make me feel loved
When you got sick
And couldn’t take care of me anymore
I wondered would there ever be a cure for cancer?
The night that you went into the hospital
Will always stay with me
The visits that I had with you
The laughs I had with you
They’ll always stay with me
Even though you’re in heaven
You’re in my heart
I’m turning 20
Yet I will never forget memories that we shared
Happy 60th Birthday Dad
Yours truly,
Chocolate Monster

Welcome to Passions. This birthday card to your father in heaven, has literally brought tears to my eyes. I am sure that he is smiling and that he surrounds you with his love.

The kind of love that you and your father shared, and still do, transcends all time and space, for it is eternal. Energy may change form, but never can it be destroyed. Blessings to you both and a special birthday greeting to your Dad!

Warm hugs and angel kisses to you and your Dad,
Earth Angel

I think he is probably smiling at his chocolate monster and full of pride.  This was indeed a nice tribute to your father.

A very sweet and beautiful birthday gift for your Dad up in Heaven. It sounds like he was a very good Dad, too. I'm sure you were his little girl, too, no matter how old you were.

This was a very good first post, and I'd like to welcome you to PIP. I look forward to reading more of your work....

This is a great poem, very heartfelt and beautiful. I wouldn't know what having a dad is like because my dad left before i was a year old and I have never known him. i have seen him only twice in my life and I hate him for what he did to my mom and I hate him for leaving my brothers and me. WELCOME TO PASSIONS!!!! Hey we have the same screen name except for the numbers.
