The sun emits a glow
A golden shower of light
The sunset comes though slow
And leads the way to night
Night brings a wait
Anxiousness and some despair
Sitting until late
To determine if you care
The long hours seem to fly
Still sitting I remain
Waiting as time goes by
Staying awake in vain
Inevitably I close my eyes
And soon come the dreams
Most of them lies
Too good to be true it seems
Morning just like every other day
My first thought being you
Instead of flight I stay
When will I grab a clue?
That waiting is for the dim
And anticipating for the dumb
I have balanced on one limb
Not even for a crumb
Just a glimpse is what I hold
Of that one afternoon
So warm and bold
In that moment aware that soon…

I would be waiting once more.
