Tight holds the grasp
Upon my heart.
Loosen not but press
Thy lips against it.
For if now is the hour
In which the stars
Might meet their sky,
Let love meet it's moon.

Kingdoms come, but pass
Unlike thy jewels in which
I peer.
Knights fall unto thy feet,
To gain confidence of what alas,
I long to touch.

Death upon my hand mirth,
If the hand that longed
To feel hath not.
But unto death I shall
Happily give if only,
To satisfy my souls ache for thee.
Do I not love thee?

Do I not love thee,
That all that exists
Could be cast away,
And leave two lovers sworn
In bonds of matrimony,
To live alone,
And I shall make thee still.

Albert,

Yes, quite romantic and reads so well. I like to hear it read aloud.

Enjoyed, Pat

Smiling at this, I hear a famous writer's style with this one.
Best when read outloud. But then I suspect that was the intent? Yes, a vote for this one.

Albert, this is so sweet!! Heh, your style of writing here seems almost Shakespeare-like. Reminds me of past literature lessons.
