Madrigal

I feel the madrigal’s intense.
Floating on the airs dispense.
Riding o’er the dreams of eve.
O’er the face upon my sleeve.

And stardust leaves light imprint.
Upon my eyes in misty glint
Like floating snowflakes from above.
For velvet is the touch of love.

I lay a paradise of dream.
And in an ecstasy it seem.
A phantom in a make believe
This angel on my arm my sleeve

And she my love just lays in sleep.
Unaware my misty deep
Beyond my goal of magic’s lace
Beyond my soul of sheer embrace

I would she tilt her head in slight.
And say I’ve dreamed with you tonight.
