Hearts of The Aware

Twenty Six miles off the shores of South Korea
there is a mysterious lush green island known
as Catalina.
Not many know a beautiful island is located there.
An island that only exists in the hearts of the
aware.
I awoke one February morning two years ago to this
day and found myself on this lush green island
fearing to be a castaway.
I looked all around me and saw only my footprints
pressing into the sand.
The reason why I was there soon enough I would
understand.
Suddenly there was a clearing as palm trees started
to part.
A lovely women stood in the clearing and her grace
and beauty stole my heart.
She beckoned me to come towards her and I eagerly
obliged.
No way I could ignore her as she looked into my
admiring eyes.
She told me her name was Mina as she took my
trembling hand and as she started to kiss me I
wanted to be her man.
She lived in a spacious cavern beneath a silky
mountain fall.
Her bed was made of soft feathers and bamboo with
silk pillows full of sweet smelling straw.
We spent that evening together and it was one I
hoped would never end.
For I feared when I awoke in the morning that Mina
would be pretend.
As I awoke the next morning I found myself far away
from there and worried about my Mina and hoping
that she still cares.
As days passed I found that my desires for Mina
will always take me back there to the romantic
island of Catalina to share the magic of the
hearts of the aware.

Hi James...this sure sounds inviting after all the cold and snow we have endured this winter.
Good write!

Hearts of the Aware. I love that line. I feel similar about Catalina Island in California.

I always wondered where Catalina was.  I thought it would be off the coast of California.  I'd expect an island off Korea's coast to be named Dogadinna instead - lol.
