On those nights that I might dream
I sleep behind a pane of glass
no thing to block the sun from me--
I love to wake held by my sky.

I used to have lace panel sheers--
illusion of romance.
The patterns of the weave of tears
made puppets of belief of chance.

Now I just drape cotton sheet--
a shroud of linen's disbelief.
I wake, now, to dappling--
knowing that my love is there.

The mares of night hang head in shame,
submissive in this dance of hawk.
I watch the two encircling
diving in transparency--
clouds will break
in safe passage...
my love, my love
I'm not forsaked.

I pull the sheets and feel him shine...

How is it that this is for me?

Because sometimes you really do get what you deserve... even if it takes a long time getting there. *S* I like this very much... and the title is irresistible! *S*

Oh Karen you do squeeze words and feelings for all they are worth and you didn't even put this winner into Reflections?  Fantastic!

(smiles) Oh Karen, I would choose this kind of wake-up call over the traditional loud alarm clock beep any morning! (big huggssssssss) This is lovely, sweet friend, yay, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
