 All yesterday a stormy fray Put on a wint’ry show. I went to sleep – Now it’s so deep The ground’s three feet below. My world’s all bright in wondrous white, It’s drifting to and fro, Now my poor car can't go too far… Where did that shovel go? But if I wait, the snowdrift’s fate May be elsewhere to blow. The neighbors might enjoy the sight, For they’ve all plowed their snow. Despite this pelt it’s sure to melt Within a week or so. The sun will shine – all will be fine. This white stuff’s sure to go. Why should I work??To go to work? I’d really like to know… I’m resting now – I’ll call a plow I have nowhere to go!!!  This view is "Before" and "After".. standing at the same spot on my deck... I really like this. My Grandmother got 20 to 30 inches of snow where she lives yesterday. The snow must go. LOL Cold hands means a warm heart |

OMG! Now that is real snow! LOL, but this ode you wrote is also so you Nan! I would be out there getting each fallen flake off the cement, and you would be laughing your head off at me behind some toasty warm window inside. LOL, I love this. |

Amen! I'm glad someone decided to post a poem about snow. The snow must go! I helped shovel my driveway for 2hrs. yesterday (scared for life now of course)  . I'll be happy to send a truck load of free snow to anyone who wants some.~*~me~*~ "Remember, courage is wings." |

It never snows on ol' Cape Cod, or so I'm often told. (And told and told and told.) Our ground is bare in Michigan, though gray and dank and cold. (And OH so very cold!) 'Tis better you than me this year, so shovel 'til you tire. (Your picture made ME tire.) Your car would go through all that snow if it was still afire. (The Jaguar is afire!) |

Nan - oh my, here the sun is shining, the mountains singing, the river is beaming. You must come for a visit. Snow, snow, go away. Some reasons to shovel snow... 1. so one can walk out the driveway 2. it's good exercise 3. learning new swear words one never knew they knew when the shovel hits ice 4. one might be on candid camera 5. enjoying the outdoor coffee breaks 6. more swear words one didn't know they knew when the shovel breaks 7. more words when you think of BC here in the mountains running around with just a shirt on 8. wondering what the heck one is doing shoveling snow in the middle of April 9. learning more swear words when the auto gets stuck in the driveway 10. even more when one runs over the shovel 11. wondering why one is freezing and shoveling snow 12. wondering why one is shoveling snow, sweating, freezing, and catching a cold 13. more words learned when the snow plow fills up the areas that one just shoveled 14. watching the shovel fly through the air towards the snow plow when it goes by filling up the areas one just shoveled and the driver gives one a big smile as he goes by 15. wondering why one is shoveling snow in the first place, after all, the lord put it there, let him take it away 16. knowing that BC has a big smile thinking about Nan shoveling all that nice snow, hehehe....
