these days my obsessive levity
takes a back seat
to the tequila free form
limes diced and sliced
huddled in a glass saucer
on the edge of the cabaret
I exercise my health
both mentally and metaphysically
every time I covet the lilith playtoy
each time that my carnal ineptitude
pulls on violin strings inside the playhouse
drawing me closer to the flame
long after Ive turned the key for the evening
leaving the worm to unravel
deep inside an oak barrel
some nights
she sleeps beside me
others..
she is drawn into the tail winds
of his oily appendages
beauty stripped
before the guttural debacle
commences

Im sure it is clear
to any unfortunate trespasser
or casual observer
how I feel
regarding this matter
