The Reason For Flowers

She fondles it
in folded hands;
holds it close,
as though
its lips were mine,
to tell me
by her simple love
the wonders that
are only known
through flowers.

Ah, very beautiful for the thoughts, and yes, we do that sometimes....
in fact, exactly, just like that!

Like this a lot.

OK Ratleader!  You can always get to me with flowers, and add to it a lovely, and passionate write.  VERY NICE, indeed!

Then I'll be a flower chile......

You know, I have noticed that when I write about this kind of thing, I tend to get more responses from men than women, and when I write about hard-nose subjects I often get more responses from women.....

Strange, that, but not strange. I would never have expected it, but men do have emotions and you can express 'em here, while women do have other facets as well....

Should have expected it, but I didn't. Live and learn, Rat-boy!

Hi Ed...you know you got to me with the flower theme...and I've seen enough men and woman do just what you have described, but you know, I think it is the gift that is treasured, and the one who gave that makes it so special.  Hugs!

Cool.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.
