I know the secrets of the river,
as it rushes to the sea
coming down from highest mountains
sprinkling rainbows over me

Soft and low, it burbles to me
telling songs of journeying
joy it has in ever moving
from its source, down to the sea

I listen and the river tells me
all the secrets of its home
this the song I hear in passing.
Where it wanders, how it roams.

All the stories that it tells me
as I sit and hear the song
I see the river moving swiftly
and wonder, as it moves along

All the debris of the ages
carried down from high above
here, are cleansed and washed in shining
rainbows cloud, the gift of love

As the river rushes onwards
things are lost within the deeps
hidden by the moving river
and the secrets that it keeps

Yet, I know the river's secret
caught in passing, nothing stays
and by magic, goes this moment
time moves on replaced by days.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Kethry - Love the river and its held secrets, one can almost hear them when sitting there next to it...

Kethry, I love the river, too,
and enjoyed reading about it in your poem.
Very enjoyable...

Kathy, I am partial to river poetry...a strong muse.  This is beautiful!  I look forward to more.

Rivers hold many secrets,
and will hopefully flow
for all time...

well done, Kethry.

(smiles) Oh my gosh, this reminds me so much of the tale of Siddhartha, sweet friend, how the river fishman told him to listen carefully and watch the river and he heard the word of Ohm from the waters, which enlightened him! (kiss on cheek) I love the beauty of this, sweet friend, may nature always soothe you with her majesty, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
