We caught the breeze in sluggish gust
and learned to ride the winds in trust;
we took the blessing of the earth
and rode high up, to new rebirth.

And there within the clouds so high
we claimed a tiny piece of sky,
we claimed it yea, all for our own
but prayed the wind would lead us home.

The air above the azure sky
took our breath when, we would fly
and still within the realm of blue
we dreamed of all good things anew.

To chase the clouds and yet be still,
we soared in flight, our wondrous thrill.
The clouds below no land in sight,
with gasping breath our hearts take flight.

Suspended with no time to tell
we caught the wind that rose and fell,
when we were done; we headed home
and vowed that once more we would roam.

We wait the day that time turns round
and once more float above the ground.
We flew the skies on winds of chance
and started off a new romance.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Extremely well written!!

Bueatiful, saving this for later reading if you dont mind. o)

Please do share more.

I've heard the rush of dragon's breath,
their flames are real, I can attest,
they lift the silk like colored sheets
and ride the skies they love the best...

I have high in the sky balloon photos,
Kethry...one of these days I'll send you some...
this took me back to Battle Creek, and again
to Modesto, where I have seen them fly...
thanks for the memories!

(smiles) Yay! Oh Kethry, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, "uplifting" too was the word that came to my mind when reading this! (kiss on cheek) May you make another round trip with love and fly eternally and fly farther than you ever thought possible, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
