Listen to the building snow
Piling up, flake on flake,
Come sit, you’ve got no where to go,
Together, voice to voice
We can learn what the other knows
As outside the winter blows
Here inside we’ll sit by the fire
And let the conversation flow
Learning about our desires.
Watch the flames die down
They now burn, lower and lower
With their soft crackling sound
And our eyes, lower and lower
Bring us to quiet and sleep
The words will keep
Till morning light grows.

Welcome to Passions! Your debut was quite full of remarkable pastoral imagery and I look forward to reading more of your poetry and your responses to our wonderful family of poets! (Please check your e-mail for a special greeting).

Welcome to Passions, That Voice.  I'm going to enjoy watching your future attempts, because I have a feeling, you truly write from the heart...
