Summer is near,
I think I will swim.
Or watch the sun,
As it shall dim.

I sit here,
Feeling the heat.
If summer were here,
I'd be complete.

Things change,
As time goes.
Like the beautiful plants,
Summer shows.

The time flew,
Summers here.
All the flowers,
Start to appear.

The sun shines bright.
The crops start to grow.
The warmth turn to heat,
And the lakes start to flow.

Fish appear,
My poll in hand
I caught five bass.
Life is just grand.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Ahh the joys of fishing! Cant wait till summer comes, heading up to canada. Its buetiful there, and they fish arent to bad either!

A dream is but a dream, you can wake up.  Reality is ultimate, and those who share it with us are far more important than anything we could remember,

While in the cold ....imagination transports you beautifully, skipping even one season ...
I heard Spring this morning in the bird's song and my heart filled with joy, but everyday has its own charm .... just listening!

I agree with passing shadows...but this poem is wonderful. It makes me ache for summer...I'm done with all this cold and snow!! hehe...
This reminds me a little bit of a modern Robert Frost poem!

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

This is a good detour from the freezing reality outdoors...a little more descriptiveness would add somemore colour to it, don't you think so?Just an opinion
