To Birth a Butterfly

I brush these words of quality.
With aim and colored subtlety.
To mist a mind within a rhyme
And paint a butterfly in time.

As pretty as a catchy tune.
Or the acme of a boon
It clothes the air with filigree.
To make in time a tapestry

I say I only write for me.
But that’s not true as you can see.
The true that shows within each next
Looms and flows within the text.

And though I try and try and try.
I cannot write a butterfly.
For in the mind and human will
Only fantasy fills the bill.

So here I lie in acid lime.
To paint a butterfly in rhyme

Sey, me thinks that if anyone could write a butterfly, it would be you.
These lines are too cool...

I say I only write for me.
But that’s not true as you can see.
The true that shows within each next
Looms and flows within the text.

Nice morning read Sey, hugs

I must have had my momma's will

Oh I must protest my darlin prophet Sy ...
I am the proof of this poem's innocent lie.
I can attest that your rhymes color the sky,
for you turned this moth into a butterfly.

When thoughts dance like butterflies in our minds they always give birth to beauty, as you have done.

howsomeever, you often do write a metamorphosis, that is certain. I loved this section most!

And though I try and try and try.
                        I cannot write a butterfly.
For in the mind and human will
                        Only fantasy fills the bill.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I am trully amazed at this. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL poem!! If ever there was a masterpeice this would be it.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.
