I am offering my poem to you
You, who have been my rock
Through the years
Together we have faced
Adversity and joy.

I offer this poemto you
Who have wiped my tears
And lent an ear
The pain has been great
Sometimes too much to bear
But there were times of love and fun.

I offer my poem to you
To you who held my hand
When death was near
Who offered your understanding
And care
As children created turmoil
And parents required attention.

I offer my poem to you
Not because I can’t buy a present
But because this is more real
It tells you of long lasting love
Love surviving all the pain and sorrow.

I offer this poem to you
It is my valentine
Because I have never been able to say
The tender thoughts I have of you
But in my poem
I can say, I love you.

Your husband will be so proud of this wonderful tribute of your love for him...he is a lucky man to have your poetic heart in his hands!  It's a beautiful Valentine, my friend.

To all of you who responded to my poem:  Thank you again and again and
To Noah:  Your response was so sweet it makes me cry.  I guess he appreciated the poem but I'm not sure as much as you people have.  You encourage me so.  Thank you, again.  Barb
