That distant expression
she’s somewhere I can’t see
tell me where’s she gone
can you bring her back to me?

Can you help me,
I don’t know what to do
no, she’s gone
to a deeper shade of blue

she’s found a new horizon
her heart is traced in sand and foam
her soul is forever changed,
she’s found home

there is nothing you can do
it was simply meant to be
let her go....
She belongs to the sea......

How wonderful that the first poem in open 25 would be for Janet Marie. THis is beautifully written and I know will be much appreciated.

Im sooo happy you posted this one..now I can have it in me mothy library...
thank you Susan..very much...seeing the ocean has changed the way I look at everything..it was the most amazing thing Ive ever felt...standing by the waves for the first time...walking in the tides barefoot...seeing the colors of the sunrise
reflecting on the surf...
