Paste your poem in this space...at the top of this space (above the poem)

<  (always start ou with that little carrot)

then the font

"(always use the quotes)

"Comic Sans MS

"(end with a quote)

space

color (type in that word then the =

color=(no space)"(quote)#CC3299(this is from the HTML color chart

color="#CC3299"
space

size="3" >

size is the size of the font, the higher the number the bigger the font...

LOL

This is Orange

The easiest way to learn a little HTML is to actually SEE it being used. Unfortunately, that's tough, because the minute we use it your browser changes it into something displayable.

There's a trick, though, that makes life easier. Click on the "Edit" icon for this message. The system won't let you actually change anything, because it's not your post, but it WILL let you look at exactly what I typed.

Here's an example code for adding an image.

<IMG SRC=" ">

When you see an image that you like on another website (if its not copyright) you can right click on it then push "properties" in the menu and then copy the Address/URL and paste it between the quotation marks after the SRC part of the code above.

This is what I put for the rose bud image below:

<img src= " http://wwwai.wu-wien.ac.at/~hahsler/manuals/icons/FLOWERS/ROSEBUD.GIF " >

If you want to play around with its size you can add an Width or/and Height value:

<img src= " http://wwwai.wu-wien.ac.at/~hahsler/manuals/icons/FLOWERS/ROSEBUD.GIF " width=200 height=400 >>

But it gets distorted a bit when you change its size.
You can add a border too with a number to set its thickness.

<img src= " http://wwwai.wu-wien.ac.at/~hahsler/manuals/icons/FLOWERS/ROSEBUD.GIF " border=" 20 "  >

Hope that helps.

In doing your graphics, however - Please be sure that the picture you're using comes from a source that doesn't mind your using their bandwidth - that's paid internet access...

You're wisest to use pictures you have stored somewhere such as your own site or that of someone who gives you access to theirs.

And in case the image is gone you can put an message with the alt:

<img src=" "  alt=" I'm not here right now "  width=300 height=100>

I'm not here right now

Hey I missed you Nan.

I agree about doing that, but unfortunatly its hard to find places that allow you to do that most of the time.
