I probably will figure this out after I post, seems to be the going thing with me.

BUT just incase I don't.

You should be able to use a Horizontal Rule
when you're using Tables right?

I mean I have my tables set, and wanted to add a HR at the bottom of the page. I set it at 50% but it's not reaching that. Then I changed it to a 100% and it's not doing that either.

I have closed my tables tags, font tags, tr tags and my td tags.

My HR only seems to be going as far as the tables were set. Will the table tags over-rule the hr tag??

answer to my question. YES....

ok, is it possible to have a table width at 50%.....and do a horizontal rule longer than that? Or am I just missing something?

If I understand correctly, then yes, it's possible.

Look at
this

and here's the code:

<html>
<head>
<title>Table test</title>
</head>
<body>

<table width="50%" border="1">
<tr>
    <td>stuff here blah blah</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td>more stuff here</td>
</tr>
</table>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<HR width="100%">
</body>
</html>

Ok, the diff in mine Nicole is I have a height on my tables. Do I really need this?
As long as I keep making tr's it will expand correct?

Okay lovely Dovie - here's what I did, that fixed it from my end. (I viewed source on your page, copied the code, and played with it some on my computer.)

The first thing, is that your opening BODY tag is after your opening TABLE tag, and it should be the other way around.

it should look like this:

<BODY background="dovesbakgrnd.jpg" text="#0066CC" link="#FF0099"
alink="#ff66cc" vlink="#990099">
<font face="Tahoma, comic scan, arial" size="2">

<TABLE BORDER="0" width="50%" height="60%">
<tr>
<td>

The second thing I did, was take the "S" off the closing TABLE tag. It should be </TABLE> instead of </TABLES>.

Try that, and see if it works.
