First-

Does anyone know a site that will list the attributes of the tags? Which ones belong to which ones? I did find a site that listed attributes, but it don't say which attribute belongs with which tag.

Second-

There's something here I'm not quite understanding.
In your body tag, you can add background color and font, and it's color. So why do you have to have Body Text, and it's color, and then choose a font and it's color?? Wouldn't it be the same thing?
Or am I just putting in an extra tag that's not needed??

Something like this? Do you really need the Body Text?

< BODY TEXT="#990066" BGCOLOR="FFCCCC" >
< font face="tahoma, arial" size="+2" color="990066" >
OH, and am I becoming a pain the butt yet? hehe

I have a book (more like a pamphlet) at home (I'm at work right now, shhhh!) that gives most of the HTML tags, and their attributes.  I don't know of any websites though, that list them.  Tonight, when I'm back from school, I'll start posting them.  Would that help?

You don't *have* to have the body text tag.  If you set the color in the body tag, then setting it in the body text tag is redundant.  In your example, you don't need the body text tag if you've set the text font and color in the body tag.

No - you're not a pain.

There are several sites with html reference guides. The one I prefer is on: http://www.htmlhelp.com

There is not only a html reference guide there, but lots of interesting tools etc..

This is in my opinion the best reference site.

Thanks!!

My brother in-law had one, and matter of fact I just caught him and got it. So you might want to book mark this one for reference in the future?

I know I must be old fashioned in a way, cause I like to have something available without getting online all of the time... but I just bought at OfficeMax the other day HTML cliff notes for $8.99, which has most of the tags.  I use the WYSIWYG editor  "Dreamweaver" and don't know a lick of HTML... but I've decided to learn.  Everyone who builds WEB pages needs to know the basics I think.  However, I've found so far Dreamweaver/ Fireworks studio to be a great editor ...and really anyone could worm their way through it creating some pretty nice WEB pages  and still think HTML stands for "HOTMAIL"  LOL.

Stephanos, I have dreamweaver and the other, I just haven't gone into it yet to see how it works.

I've already built a site, though not finished, on Geocities. I had no knowledge of HTML either. Though I just started taking a course on it. I want to design web pages, because I love to play in the graphics end of it.

LOL @ HOTMAIL....actually it stands for Hyper Text Markup Language.

But that book sounds good, might check that out. Thanks for the info.
