“evidence of the rise in power of the ethnic underclasses?”

I’ve mentioned it before, I was born in Germany of Polish parents who were at one time
themselves slaves.  We came over to America after WWII as part of a massive migration
of Eastern Europeans; I guess  in the same vein as “Hispanic” that would be “Slavic”.
Were we an ethnic underclass?   Did we not rise in power?

It is unrealistic and drably egalitarian not to expect (and to some degree believe or celebrate in) the exclusive feeling of patriotism.  The arrogance is not warranted.  The conviction is ... especially if it is connected to a striving desire to become great through becoming a blessing to the world.

The US can't afford to have such an ego anymore.
