The Washington Post reports the senate wants to open investigations into the shootings at Fort Hood. It appears Senator Lieberman (I) Conn., will lead. The administration is concerned that too aggressive a probe will get in the way of prosecution down the line. The Senate is concerned with its oversight role.
In yet another story, it appears the former heads of the army and navy from to Joint Chiefs of Staff have been appointed to investigate the Fort Hood affair. That's also in today's Washington Post.
