OK, heres the story...

A reporter was investigating a family in San Diago
for an apparent real estate scam in which identities were stollen, used to acquire loans from lending institutions (banks, lending agencies who were lied to about assets) and used to purchase properties, rent them out, and apparently run the properties down.  As reported, this news was under a 3 month investigation...

http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=nation_world&id=4537353

After watching this, Matt O'Donnell from Action New, Channel 6, made the following comment (Let's keep in mind folks, we don't know if this reporter was calling these people and harrassing them)???

I say, who cares, no one has the right to hit another human being in the face with a water bottle, continually spraying him with water, shouting obsenities...her husband comes along and grabs him, tries to gouge out his eyes, pulls him to the ground, cracking a few of his ribs and all this while the camera was rolling...so they have this on tape...

and because Matt O'Donnell assumes, (which could be true) that the reporter may have been calling these people harrassing them to give him their story) these people were just in what they did, how they reacted and spoke?  (Violence is the answer in other words), so what Matt O'Donnell was saying is....if someone offends you with words or says something you don't like?????? It's ok what these people did and how they reacted.

What do you say?

This couple was arrested but posted bail and are out...

I'm wondering, if they are illegals?

wow, how sad!
But to me their citizenship isn't the issue, rather the apparent acceptance of violence as a method of dealing with anger. People get out of contol and lose it, and sometimes people die in these confrontations. The courts should penalize these people no matter their citizenship status. Maybe  some reporters need to learn to back off, keep some distance, and learn self-defense techniques.
In a more tragic, sadder story, in the Sudan, an editor was kidnapped and beheaded Tuesday, for being too outspoken apparently in comments about Muhammed.
It's a dangerous world and not getting less so, in spite of what our Prez says.

thanks so much for offering your comment.  I do know, however, that violence has nothing to do with this person's citizenship.  It was simply something I was pondering.

This reporter was trying to bring out the story to protect other people whom these people have been victimizing.

Even after he was attacked, he said he's not going to back off, due to the illegal activity this husband and wife team have, and their history of violence on other people.

It is very upsetting that these people are back on the street again, as they raised bail.  The woman went to get a gun from her car to shoot this reporter, but fortunately, was not able to find it.

Thanks again for stopping by.

I saw that incident on our local news. There was no justification for that! And I doubt they're illegals as we have a nice strong crop of our own criminals home bred. I was quite taken back that he made no legitimate attempt to defend himself.

Hi Larry,

thanks for stopping by....

well, it seemed to me, like these people were not of American descent?  And, yes, your right about him not fighting back, the only thing I can come up with is

1.  He was a perrrrfect gentleman, even though the lady hit him....I was astounded

2.  When the man attacked him, perhaps shock took over?

thanks again for your contribution
