I have no money and my car is sitting vacant and un-running in a Kroger's parking lot with some unidentified problem that I have no funds to fix. Sooo... do I keep putting about 100 bucks a month in old rustbucket to keep her moving or do I spend that on a car payment? And is it even possible to have a car payment that low when you have no down payment to give a seller?

Oh, I just want to kick that stupid car, but y'know, that's a problem what with is being dead about a mile away.

Grrrrr...

You are such a smart lady.

You are already doing what you should be doing, which is evaluating the temporary fix over the long term solution.

The long term solution not being in your means, you'll have to do the temporary fix.

"It's when we keep relying on the temporary fix that problems compound," typed the expert.

And by all means, kick the car. If all it can offer you is cheap therapy, take advantage of that.

Then just do what I know you are already doing--find a way.

Hugs hush.

If I were Oprah I'd buy you a car.

Can't you be oprah? Just for today?

And yes, this is what I choose to do at nearly 3 AM instead of studying for finals... aren't I smart?

I know this grief counselor who has a broken down car in her yard... and a bunch of bats. (Yep, some good ol' Louisville Sluggers.) And when they get to that point in their grief she sends 'em to the car and they pound it apart... window by window.

Of course, I wouldn't advise this in your situation.
You just reminded me of it ... *sigh*

Good luck, though.

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.

*chuckle*

Yeah, you are smart.

You knew damned well you couldn't concentrate on studying while you were pissed anyhow.

And man, Oprah for a day...now there's a nice diversion.

Gotta love that.

keep pouring money into her, and she'll keep runnin', but not forever.

logically, you need a newer car.
time to set a new goal if you ask me.

After some consideration?

I have just e mailed Oprah, asking if I could be her for a day. (I explained the situation and provided a link.)

What the heck?

*laughing*

Just as one never knows with me, one never knows with her.

Wish us both luck, hush.

If you do happen to become Oprah...
I could use a car, too.
And a job.
And chocolate.
Ahh chocolate...
And thirty less pounds, maybe.
Fair?
good.

oh GG...

you want chocolate, and chocolate, AND thirty less pounds?

grin

I'm sure she understands.

But not even Oprah can have all that at once.

Just ask her.

Okay.

I just e mailed Oprah again.

This time I offered her an idea for a show, with hopes she'd hire me. (I've got lotsa fanciful ideas, which I portrayed rather eloquently in my resume')

"20 Outlandish E Mail Requests Fulfilled"

(see Oprah? I'm giving it away now)

yeah, like that is something new -

LOL, well I think I better make my request more outlandish than a new car...

Maybe she can grant me mydegree early, without another year and a half spent mucking about?

Hush,

Perhaps you ought to take the bus for the winter and then by summer you'll have enough to fix up the car, sell it, and buy a new one.  Not safe to drive faulty vehicle,  especially during icey wintertime.

Hush? I'm not sure how she'd feel about that. You see, she didn't graduate on schedule either. She was one credit shy of earning her degree when she was offered this great job...

heh

But she did eventually pick up that credit to earn her degree.

*shaking my head*

Oprah.

sigh.

She was supposed to be named Orpah yanno.

Hmm.

(Maybe I should try changing my name to Akren?)

And sorry to say, but I still haven't heard from her. I'll keep ya posted tho.
