“National Activist Calls for Mandatory DNA Testing at Birth . . .

ATLANTA, Sept. 7 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Carnell Smith, a victim of paternity fraud and founder of 4TRUTH Identity's DNA Center and U.S. Citizens Against Paternity Fraud, calls for DNA testing at birth, for every child born in the United States. . .

DNA testing at birth makes sense when you consider these facts: a) 1 out of every 3 men tested is found not to be the biological father of the child in question (according to The American Association of Blood Banks) b) Men have been forced to pay as much as 66 percent of their net income for children who've been proven not to be their biological offspring and c) Few states have laws to protect against paternity fraud.”

Should a paternity test at birth be mandatory?

No - Ours is supposed to be a land of freedom.

Any "father" who questions his paternity, though, should have this testing available to him - The initial cost would be far less than life-long child support if he's not the biological parent.

My husband is going through this......but then she just maybe his. She looks like him. He denied her, never went to court for testing and was the named father by default. He pays child support for her. Statue of limitations to fight the default and get testing done is 5 years. He decided to take responsibility of her and get visitation when she was 7.

I think the whole idea of the test being mandatory
is to relieve one or the other parent of having to ask
thereby exposing the doubt.

It could cause a fundamental change.
