If you really want to see what kind of documentary film maker Micheal Moore is watch "Micheal Moore Hates America" It's written by a man who did some research generally on Micheal Moore and revealed lies and holes in stories. This guy who made the movie is not a republican, but he feals offended and tead off at the fact that Moore is making faulty documentaries. And the name he said was just attacking Moore by using emotional issues to his argument. So its just a documentary. I can't wait till it comes out. I heard the guy talk on the radio and he seemed pretty normal.

It makes me angry sometimes that poeple 100% beleive that man. uhg. so in my protest I avertise this movie.  I also still boycotting Micheal Moore productions.

so........

Boycott moore!

He's just a poor misled jerk...blame his parents, (if he knows them)....I can't blame all these poor misled people....it's real easy to blame the current administration...even if they have tried....Kerry really should have picked Moore to run with him...then they could make documentaries together about all his notions and changes he's gone thru from week to week...That would really be interesting...I wonder if he's producing or directing the Dem. Convention...it's hillarious and mostly fiction too...like his current fiasco of fiction film...

'So its just a documentary.'

LOL! Seriously, you cannot criticize Farenheit 9/11 for being overly biased and try to say that a movie entitled "Micheal Moore Hates America" is unbiased, or "just a documentary." Don't get me wrong, I intend to see it... because I think there are elements of truth in both sides (Bush-bashing and Moore-bashing) and it'll help me have a more rounded view... but I'm not going to pretend it's unbiased for even a second, just like I don't pretend Moore's movies are unbiased.

Um actually the maker of the documentary explained why he gave that name. It wasn't that Micheal Moore actually hates America, Moore uses arguments filled with fallicies. Its a joke.  Its suppose to be funny. I am not lying, here is the whole scoop...

The guy basically goes over Moores documentarys and goes throught all the fallacies and sometimes right out lies. Like band wangon red herring out of context........

No sense of humor.

Moore is slimy greasy man. His reasoning is very faltered and He used a tragety to make a political opinion about the adminastration.  What's worse is the information in the film is filled with circulling reasoning, Crude insults and steriotyping, words out of context, information out of context, Minipulated information, right out lied, and is making money out of it.

I suppose this is a joke, too?

Don't get me wrong, there is a problem with Moore, it's just not this. What he does is use innuendo to allude to a big conspiracy without having to actually take responsibility for it if someone calls him on that innuendo. As a result, Moore, of course, is not even attempting logical consistency -- so are there red herrings? -- sure.

But none of this is particularly funny.

But, if you want, we can go through this and wonder what it is that Moore got right and what it is that he got wrong.

The biggest problem I see for Bush supporters is that your stuck between a rock and a hard place. If lying is intentionally stating an untruth, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" etc., and Bush didn't lie then he simply didn't know enough to make a decision. This opens up the charge of incompetence.

He may be a nice guy, his heart may be in the right place, but he's simply not up to the job. The job isn't just about right and wrong decisions, it's also about getting things to work.

His worldview is such that it seems he simply can't accept that sometimes a little reticence is not a bad thing.

And none of that is funny.

You took my words out of context.

I was talking about the title

I think bush knows alot more than you do

I think by charging bush with "incompatance"

you Are also Charging Kerry, because Kerry was saying the same thing, in fact before Bush was president.......

So other words......

Becareful my friend and think through your arguments. Because I love to imply stuff...
Heheheheh, besides this is not about bush but the movie and micheal Moore.. This is my section And I would like to keep on subject.

No, I didn't.

I was talking about the title

I knew that. My point was that the title wasn't funny. It also happens to be a rhetorical strategy used by republicans since at least the Nixon administration.

quote:
I think bush knows alot more than you do

If he does, he lied. You can't have it both ways. The argument is that intelligence agencies screwed up so how in the world can you claim some secret knowledge for the president?

The guy doesn't even read newspapers, remember?

Oh wait, was that another joke?

you Are also Charging Kerry, because Kerry was saying the same thing, in fact before Bush was president.......

Kerry admitted that he made a mistake here. Why? Because he trusted the president.

So other words......

Huh?

quote:
Becareful my friend and think through your arguments. Because I love to imply stuff...

I have no idea what that means unless you mean you don't say what you mean or mean what you say.

quote:
Heheheheh, besides this is not about bush but the movie and micheal Moore.. This is my section And I would like to keep on subject.

And what is the movie about except Bush and company?

Like I said before, if you want to go through the movie and figure out what Moore got right and what wrong, let's go.

BRAD!

Some times I swear..... The move "Micheal Moore Hates America" Is about Micheal Moores documentaries.  All of them. Though one or two of moore's movies may7 critasize Bush, The documentary, "Micheal Moore hates America" is just about Moores documentaries.

You know why I boycott Moore, It is not who he is as a person its the messages In his films whaich are so stupid, like columbine one I had to watch in school... You know I have serious disagreements with some of his messages. that is why I boycott him, it has nothing to do with Bush, it's the messages.

And it gets worse because he takes thew truth and turns it in to lies by putting it in to fallacies.

I was boycotting him years ago.

You know what, may be your right.....

I mean heh, Some poeple can't take other opinions as adults, like post about a movie and all of a sudden ther's bush bash'n and uhg, and I learned something. When I marry a guy he is going to have similliar beliefs

-I am not gonna get a divorse over politics-

But you know This was origanally about this documentary and poeple got emotional wanting to pick fights and There was some insults------- Toerag------- Really it was silly but..... Aparently poeple beleive what Moore says, with out making sur its right. And they strongly feal what he says is the truth, or mostly the truth.

and then

But apparently it's neither because Michael Wilson, I think, or some publicist states:

quote:
Contrary to its title, Michael Moore Hates America isn¡¯t a hatchet job on the filmmaker. It¡¯s a journey across the nation where we meet celebrities, scholars and average folks alike, and we find out whether the American Dream is still alive! In the process, we¡¯ll look at Michael Moore¡¯s claims about the country, its people, and our way of life.

So the title isn't even a joke, it's a feel good about America movie with Moore being the angle.

Though why anybody thinks Moore is anti-American from his documentaries is beyond me.

Two good reasons to watch this film (the feel good stuff is fine, it's just not exactly a new way of looking at things):

1. Apparently, Penn of Penn and Teller fame will be featured. He's a very interesting guy.

2. Apparently, M. Wilson will chase after M. Moore attempting to interview him.

That should be fun.

Hmmm, two or three more things:

1. What was the message of "Roger and Me"

Was it anti-American? Why?

2. What was the message of "Bowling for Columbine"?

Was it anti-American? Why?

3 What was the message of "Farenheit 911"?

Was it anti-American? Why?

I don't think you'll answer these questions, but, hey, maybe somebody else will.

Well, if you're talking about me, when did I ever insult you? When did I get emotional? Apparently, you think that one can state an opinion without other opinions being offered that differ? Kind of pulls the whole angle out of the movie you're promoting, doesn't it?

One thing does irritate me though (and it's not just you), I just wish people would spend a little more time on specifics and a little less time on sound bites.

I am not saying You insulted me, I said toerag was... on Moore, the whole mama thing...

The whole emotional thing had nothing to do with this thread, I had a fight with a friend that ended up with her saying I am a bad person and She hoped I get ....... At the University I am going to. so it Had nothing to do with you.  All caus eof pollitics...... Sad huh?

Like I said I heard the guy talk about on a radio station and he basically went over Moores documentaries, I apollagize fopr misconstruing why he titled it, when the guy was talking about it that is what I thought he meant.

Not at all, not at all, just glad I didn't stir up anything.

I've done it before.

The only way for discussions such as these to work is that we keep such things to a minimum. When everybody has cool heads and, partially but never fully, open minds, we all benefit.

Brad -

The questions you posed were great. I hope someone answers them. Considering the fact that I don't think Moore hates America, I don't think I should be the one to do it.

Until then, I'll be waiting anxiously.

That's the title of the movie, You should ask some one who watched it, I want to, but it hasn't come out yet. Personally I think its just a catchy title.  I defently think any documentary that you watch you should ask questions and not just beleive whats said. Though I All so think you should question society as a whole. But thats just me.
