in researching the meanings of my name i've recently come across these revelations:

raphael: 'Healed by God'
giuffrida: 'Friend of God'

considering the last decade and the troubles i've faced already this year, (a fresh new concern added yesterday) i'd like ask the universe(and it's dark sense of humour) to kindly kiss my @ss

that is all..

Raph, first you get a hug.

and if ya like irony, my name, Karen, is a derivative of Katherine, which I've been told means "purity".

heh.

Guess I shot THAT all to hell, huh?

Feel better soon, m'friend.

LOL...at least your name, m'friend, has "meaning".

Try finding anything that relates to mine, and I shall show you

ZIP.

How's THAT for making oneself feel like one big zero?

There, feel better now?

That just means you get to define the meaning, Kari.

Karilea perhaps its a mix of Kari(Catherine) and Leah? Kari: virginal, pure Leah: weary So your name means "Weary of being pure" but then weren't we all

Clever boy...playing up to Mom like that.

Truly, it's not quite irony, but *sigh* no middle name...than a first name that sounds like a bakery product....

well, I guess the bright side is, that most bakery products are "sweet", right?  Well, not "rye" bread...LOL....

Don't let pedantic definitions of 'irony' rankle.  After all, Alanis Morisette made a killing on misdefinition.

BTW... found out some other piece of truth

...

irony apparently means "I running"
like in I running, you running, we running, he running, she running, all running
The (place a city name here) Jazz Marathon

amazing thing this is ... Truth!
