My long curls are gone... I feel so sad.... most of my life I had long hair... now... because of the pain and the bad condition of my left shoulder and arm, I had to cut it short... I just couldn't handle it with one hand... I know there are worse things in life to deal with... sigh... my life is not excactly going 'smooth' lately... but somehow the loss of my hair left me so sad...

I have hair ont he long side myself,,,,and have had to get it cut a few times, for various reasons,,,,,,you will get over that naked feeling,,,and the cold neck syndrome,,I promise,,,also,,,since you have an ouchie shoulder ( which I wish you the best of luck in getting better),,,shorter hair will be a lot easier on you,,,,,besides, now you can spike it up, and scare the neighbors,,, ,,,,
take care
Michelle

I wish all could find the true happiness I have found,,in the eyes of Mike

sympathetic nod...

over here?

the heels are gone, the mini skirts? gone.

But? in a way it's a bit of a relief.

Feel better soon.

Whether right or wrong, hair for a woman is a big part of her identity.  If we have a bad hair day, we have a bad day.  If we have a great hair day our attitude is 100% throughout the day.  I am sorry that you had to cut your hair, but when your up to par again, you can grow it long again!

Good luck and you'll be in my thoughts...

Neeraja - I know exactly how you feel. It is a loss. In case you didn't see my Pip pic a year or so ago, I had past the shoulder length hair. I had it that way for over ten years. Suddenly, I just knew that it was time to cut it. I was now past the big 50, had grandchildren, and besides that....I just looked silly. Not that you do from your photo...but I am only 5ft. tall and shrinking! I was starting to look like Cousin It from the Adams Family.....lol.
So we lopped it off and you know what? I only mourned for a couple of days. Now I love my short hair, and have extra time on my hands too. Now, there are moments when I think...gee I wish I had my long hair again....but all I have to do is look at my photo ID, and HA HA HA HA...that moment is gone! Be well & be happy that you have freed yourself from your hair!! hugs, Chris

Neeraja~
Woeful for sure ... but you'll learn to love it when the shoulder pain subsides because you don't have to hair-wrestle~

I'll just bet it looks GREAT !!!!

I am so glad I shared this with you... all your sweet support helps... it really does... and I feel already a lot better with my short curls... it's so wonderful to know I have friends here... and suddenly I was thinking... so many man have to go through this... but for them it is a no-return event... and I hardly ever hear them complain... as for me... it will grow back...

A big   for you all!  but an extra for the male pippers among us!
