All must be going very well so it seems, nobody has been angry in the last fourteen days. Keep it up friends

A few normally argumentative souls have been dancing gently on the political floor in the Lounge, stepping on toes but quickly apologizing with little rancor.

I'm just waiting for the dancer wearing clogs or perhaps lugged boots.

Aside from politics, religion and sex, the big 3, there's always the domestic ones. Where to squeeze the toothpaste tube. Toilet paper facing front or back. Same with paper towels. Clean the lint trap or leave for the next person. Pet peeves, primarily, the conflicting views of such sure to bring consternating delight to all.

Pet peeves?

People who talk about how much something costs all the time.

People who talk on a cell phone while driving.

People who tell bigoted jokes.

People who judge others by the color of their skin, their ethnic background, their age, their sex, their educational background or the way they look in general.

OH...I could go on...people who don't treat others with respect...people who use their power to 'use' people.

To add toPdV's list, I would like to insert the word "Negativity". I have absolutely no time left for anyone and their negative attitudes, and yetm, I seem to be surrounded by them more than on a "normal" day.
And to answer Titia, there are arguments happening, it is just that the e-mail seems to be the preferred method of those wishing to be hurtful these days.

It's not really a peeve, because in a way I guess it's what I'm paid to do...

But I do find it a little bothersome that a particular person at my office seems to think that I just sit there waiting to be given some work, and wants me to be ready at the drop of a hat, no matter what other work has piled itself onto my desk, nor how urgent it is, despite the fact some of it needed to be done weeks ago!!!

Ok, I'll get back in my box now.

Never really understood this kind of prejudice -- if you really get to know somebody you can find lots of legitimate reasons to dislike them instead of some superficial criteria.

"Aside from politics, religion and sex, the big 3, there's always the domestic ones. Where to squeeze the toothpaste tube. Toilet paper facing front or back..."

I never knew anyone else ever thought about that. I'm picky about which direction my toilet paper is facing...It's gotta be front. Backwards just seems to be an inconvenience to me. Is that weird? ...

And another thing that really bugs me...Is when you're having a debate with someone about...anything, really...and they don't listen to what you're saying. They just HAVE to be right and cut you off at every sentence and basically scream to be heard over you.

Blah. Nobody listens anymore.

A few more pet peeves:

People who talk on their cell phone while waiting in an office.
When people don't open the cereal box correctly, so that it's bound to be stale in three days or less, because it can no longer be shut.
When people throw their junk on the side of the road.

The list goes on...
