Sorry but I have to rant about this.  I have this friend who I would've trusted with my life without a second thought.  I told her a BIG secret, and it is big to me.  And I made her promise not to tell.  She told!!!!  Then when she told she told him not to tell.  And he told!!!!  That's how I found out but why do poeple constantly do this.  Especially when the secret is not thier own but a friends.  I'm so mad at both of them and am not sure what to do.  Because I still love them both, they are my friends afterall.  But they betrayed me ia an unforgivable way.  And they've complicated my life incredibly.

I don't know if today is a good day, or if yesterday was, or if tomorrow will be, but I'd like to think so.

I can't really tell you what to do at this point but I have found that the only way to keep a secret is to KEEP IT! Once you tell a single person it is no longer a secret. I hope everything works out.

I think it is wonderful you still can find room to forgive them in all this, that shows real character.  I would tell them that you were hurt or dissappointed in them repeating what was told to them in confidence, and leave it at that if you wish to continue your friendship.  We learn from times like these who to trust and who not to, but it is so true, once something private of yours is shared it is no longer secret, sad but true.  Good luck.

Funny...I have come across this problem among some friends online recently although I'm  not sure who is saying what to who. I know they're not being malicious, but sometimes the ones we tell our secrets to trust the wrong people to confide in themselves.

I guess it all comes down to the fact that poeple talk to others about what is on their minds. Should we accept it or stop telling people things? A difficult and impossible thing to do, really.

Sorry you're going through this.

You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL

I personally would go weeks without talking to them, but I don't recommend that. This is what I DO recommend: the exact opposite of not talking to them. The only way to partially solve something like this is to make yourself feel better, and I suggest that you talk to the person you told this secret to in the first place and find out WHY she blabbed (not the greatest wording, but I'm too tired to be diplomatic). Then explain how you feel about it, and from there on I'm not sure what to tell you. I do know that talking about it helps though *hugs*
