Ya gotta admit this guy was funny some of the time:

http://64.39.15.171/

From the site:

quote:
NO! M.S.S did not show up for work. However, our intrepid editors have been able to find his actual, final quote from Tuesday. As usual, we are not making this up:
"I NOW INFORM YOU THAT YOU ARE TOO FAR FROM REALITY."

Also, by popular request we now proudly present the "pencil quote":
"The authority of the civil defense ... issued a warning to the civilian population not to pick up any of those pencils because they are booby traps," he said, adding that the British and American forces were "immoral mercenaries" and "war criminals" for such behavior.
"I am not talking about the American people and the British people," he said. "I am talking about those mercenaries. ... They have started throwing those pencils, but they are not pencils, they are booby traps to kill the children."

Honorable mention in the "I wish I was M.S.S." category goes to Mohsen Khalil, Iraq's Ambassador to the Arab League for this beauty:
"Iraq will not be defeated. Iraq has now already achieved victory - apart from some technicalities."

Those beat those Bushisms.. almost..

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

I guess he was finally convinced that we were there.

Love the site, Brad, thanks for sharing it.

Denise,

By the way, of course you would know and probably like the onion. I must have forgotten who I was talking to.

Some times, they're over the top, but sometimes the writing is so good that I forget I'm at a satiric website and, bam, they've got me laughing for days.

What was even funnier was last year when the Chinese thought The Onion was a real news outlet...

Now that's comedy.

Mo reminds me of one of my brothers... he could lie to you and know that you knew that he was telling a lie, and yet insist it was the truth.  He should run for office.

Yep, that was funny, but funny ironic or funny funny?

Maybe both -- but mostly just sit down and laugh till your abs hurt funny.

I heard Arthur Anderson is looking for a new Press Agent -- Mo could do wonders for them.. ya think?

From the official North Korean News Agency...

Foreigners visit various places
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- The economic and commercial councillors' corps here visited the Korean Revolution Museum Thursday on the occasion of the Day of the Sun and the 10th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's election as Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Being briefed on the fact that Kim Jong Il has successfully carried out the cause of perpetuating the memory of President Kim Il Sung and made an immortal contribution to the building of a great prosperous socialist power and the global cause of independence with his unique Songun revolutionary leadership, they looked round relics and mementoes on display.
On the same day they visited the Taedonggang Beer Factory.

Anybody that takes their visitors to the beer factory can't be all bad.  Maybe the U.S. can start a international peace initiative by inviting the North Koreans to Golden and the Coors factory.  I enjoy the Onion, but it just holds it own sometimes with the official government releases.

Tim,

Now, there's an idea. We'll call it the moonshine policy.
