Okay it seems like everytime it gets better it comes crashing down again. I just got a car. Now I don't have a job so let me do the math

150.00 for insurance
30.00 for gas
37.00 for cell phone
----------
   217.000 a month

so if i get a job and make minimum wage i will break even. I am frustrated because I have applied at every place in bothell woodinville lynwood kirkland and redmond noooo jobs... errr.
somebody help me figure things out before i go crazy

Kelly, I think this is more of a rant than an announcement, so I'm moving it to the Alley...

you'll get a LOT of feedback in there!

I know what u mean with the jobs. I have been looking for about a month now and it seems like no one is hiring or wants to hire me! But good luck to you!

You don't have a McDonald's or a Burger King? Their turnover is so high they almost always need warm bodies.

sometimes you have to take what ever is offered....if it will help pay the bills and expenses why not??  maybe drop the cell phone...its an added charge right now...you need the gas and insurance, and you will "save" enough so that if ya need to make a call you will  have change to do so....

I see no mention in your budget for:

Housing
Electricity
Water/Sewer/Garbage/Recycling
Natural Gas
Telephone (land)
Internet
Cable
Education
Clothing
Groceries
Vehicle Payment/Maintenance
Taxes
Medical

Which means... someone else must be covering all those bills... sounds like you've got it pretty good kid.

Yard work?

Call a temp agency and see if they take teens?

Actually....at minimum wage, provided you worked at least 20 hours a week (4 hours a day, 5 days a week), you'd make somewhere close to 300-400 a month, give or take a bit.

And that's provided that minimum wage hasn't gone up anytime recently. It was $5.25, last I checked...

Kellie,

You're right in my neck of the woods.
I had no idea!

I might have a few leads for you if you're instersted.
E-mail me if you'd like, with how far you can or will travel, what you're looking for etc!

Sadly - this is called life.

It always creeps up on you when your not looking - especially when you are really really happy . . .

Just keep searching - keep applying - trust in yourself and your abilities and have faith . . . it gets much worse

Hm...  Can't help you there, you're on the wrong side of the mountains from me.  Quite a few places have job openings over here, but traveling 3 hours to work every day wouldn't work.     I'm still not driving, so I have a few more weeks before I have to start worrying about job searching.  Just until my parents actually MAKE me get my license to get me out of the house...  ha.  Good luck!

Wash cars. Cleaning. Offer to clean out peoples garages for the stuff they don't want and then hold garage sales.  Offer to run peoples garage sales for them for a % of the take. Baby sitting. After school tutoring. Garden work. Join the military. Look into the government program JOB CORP. Look into at home selling programs, Tupperware etc,if to young offer to help established rep for small wage and learn the business. Go out keep looking, no one is going to come knocking on your door looking for you.
