You know, I rarey complain in here, but I feel this is important for everyone here at the forums to read. I have noticed that in the PipTalk Lounge, Alicat had to close down a song discussion thread in which he REPEATEDLY edited, requested, gently encouraged, etc... people NOT TO POST FREAKIN' WHOLE SONGS OR ALMOST HALF OF SONG LYRICS!! Is it really that difficult to read the WHOLE thread and notice that there are rules against this sort of stuff? Our moderators have other things they'd like to be doing, folks (hmmm..like writing poetry perhaps) instead of picking up the pieces behind inconsiderate posters who don't take the time to consider the rules. Should we really monopolize their time to the point where they have to practically beat us over the head with their point by editing post after post and requesting time and time again?!! Song after song thread...and post after post about other copyright material has been posted at this sight, and I think that the point should be well driven home by now with all the discussion and moderating done in those threads. PLEASE CONSIDER THE COPYRIGHT ISSUE AND DON'T POST WHOLE SONG LYRICS IN SUCH DISCUSSION THREADS! And..if you have a question about what to post..then e-mail a moderator for goodness sake! ASK QUESTIONS! I can assure you our moderators will appreciate it far more in the end, and then we, as other members won't have to have our threads locked or removed when what we want is to have them discussed.

I must agree with Siofra here, I have been noticing this as well.  I don't think that it is too much trouble to understand what is being asked for here.  But yet, I see that it is continually happening.

In her own "Dedications" thread, she mentions that only links to the lyrics be posted, and the people who posted there followed very well.  But, in another thread, the posters were told to not post any lyrics at all, and then did so.

This is very serious, it goes right along with Forum guidelines about posting another's work.  We would not want someone to post our words somewhere without our permission, why do we feel that we can do the same?

Remember, too, that it is still acceptable to post a portion of a lyric with the proper credits given, but that is all.

I know, you do not feel that you are doing any harm by posting lyrics here, but realize that when you post lyrics wihtout permission, you are violating copyright laws.

I want to apologize to the administrator of this site for my ignorance of the forum rules (actually forgetting). I posted lyrics without any intent to hurt any member.
