My sister lived in Baton Rouge for 8 years and is back here now in Indiana. We have some pretty rough winters and I hate being snowed in too. I hate being penned in in any way! So I can relate to this. I know when we visited her I enjoyed the fall weather there but it was very humid.

You know, serenity, I would give anything right now for a bit of snow. It has been around 40 degrees here. (102 in your scale I think) I used to live further south and would love to go up the mountains for the snow. I miss it.

I enjoyed LA a couple of winters ago, Seren...but I also enjoyed CA as a child, with the exception that we never had snow at Christmas. Like all those "easterners..."...and this year, in 20 degree KS? Still no snow. It all went east....
Ugh! I wish i could have even just a few degrees of your cold weather!! Right now it's 7:17am, and I've been awake since before 6am, because it's just too darn HOT to sleep! 91 degrees before 8am is just too much to bear! There are two fans in my bedroom, but they don't help!

But I don't drive, but my solution for cabin fever? KICK EVERYBODY ELSE OUT INTO THE COLD. rofl...(smiling serenely, sipping my coffee, as I hear the music of the school bus wheels, whisking my grouchy children off to school...)
