That place with padded walls and funny people in white.........

I am honestly NOT sorry to say, I am heading the same way Watcher did....out of here. This isn't a home anymore...it has become too cliqueish as its size has grown. It's like if you live in a small town, nobody locks the doors.....well, lately I've found myself locking up tight...and I'm sick of it. To everyone who has helped me become a better poet, I thank you. But I just hate a place that is being destroyed by controversy, like this place is. I also think this place plays favorites, just as many other places do.

It seems that the "teacher pets," the people whose opinions never conflict the majorities, and when hipocracy on their part is pointed out, they react violently, it seems that those people are the real "winners" here at Passions...

And if people don't like that opinion, so be it. I am done with it. I will miss some of you, surely, and if you wish to keep contact with me, my email and ICQ number are listed.

Farewell, Passions.

Would you please e-mail me or send me a message on ICQ about this matter. I for one would hate to see you leave. I would like to know what brought you to this decision and I would like to listen to your conplaints. Please talk to me.

Your friend,

Marilyn.

Sys, I hope you reconsider this decision. You are a wonderful poet and would be missed around here. There is no place nor even family that is perfect but the answer is never in walking away. Anything can usually be worked through, mostly anything anyway. Please take some time to sort through your emotions and don't make any hasty decisions.
Hope to hear from you again soon!

Sorry to see you go SD...I do sincerely hope you can find an one-line home more to your liking. Best of luck, and please, keep writing.

Sys,
I'm not a moderator, nor a senior member, nor even a real doctor, heck , I don't even know what it takes to be qualified as a poet!
Perhaps you were more involved with this site than I , but I just don't see what you're describing here .At any rate , in diversity , this place I have found rather unique , your contributions will be missed .

Hey there SD,

Sorry to hear you're a little disgruntled, one suggestion I have is, if you're looking for a place with varied opinions and poems, some honest opinionated critiques and ya don't mind giving honest critiques in return then try posting a few at a CA again, ya haven't for quite some time. But whatever you do just don't stop writing, I'd hate to see someone give up on such a wonderful and versatile art form especially someone who hasn't even reached their potential yet. Well whatever you decide to do, best of luck, hope to read some of your work in a magazine someday and take care,
Trevor
