I am so tired of the statement that keeps rearing it's ugly head about the Adult Forum being "loosely protected" !!! All comments made as such fall back onto the shoulders of a wonderful woman we all know does her darndest to protect and secure it, as nothing in this world is fool-proof. I vote, instead of judging her ability to protect, why not give some suggestions on how we could go about doing so? Many of us enjoy the liberty of posting erotica and sensual poetry, most all of which is in good taste....however, I fear if this continues, those who work so hard to provide us this opportunity, might become exhausted in trying to do so, and how sad it would be to lose the Adult Forum over it ! Can we make some suggestions before this thing goes too far ?? Does anyone have any ideas instead of harsh criticism as to how we can better protect the forum from underaged eyes??? I'm sure poetDevine would welcome any and all positive input/suggestions! She has done a fabulous job moderating that forum for us, as it is no easy task, I'm sure....with the nature of the poetry we submit. Let's give her credit, as credit is surely due, and instead of being angry that "it's not fool-proof", let's help come up with some ideas as to how we could better secure it? How about it? Any takers ??? Any ideas ???? I too, am scratching my head to come up with some ideas for her and Ron...I guess what I'm trying to say in VERY many words...unless you are willing to help find a solution, don't be so quick to pass judgement on the efforts of others....thank you for your time, as I know I ramble on so !!! hehehehe Sorry.... Actually, just moments ago, I posted a notice in Announcements concerning this very topic. The "common" password to the forum has been changed and will no longer be released. Each Member that wants access will be granted that access via their username - so they won't need to enter an extra password ever again. And, of course, there will be no further suggestions that the password has been passed around to friends... |

Well, there's no doubt in my mind, and I'm sure in no one else's, that Sharon is the hardest working, most consciencious member and moderator that Passions has. No discrepancies in the system could ever be directed at her. Thank you, Ron, for resolving this. |

I rarely post in Adult but I read a little from time to time but would have to say that I agree with Femme, the nature of the poems must sometimes be a tough call but one that PDV calls exceptionally well.. I for one have just started to post in Adult and since I feel comfortable there I do not want the rug pulled out from under me now. I know that moderating has got to be a tough job and poet Devine does it wonderfully. I feel that if people are concerned about their children reading anything in this forum then it should be up to them to do their own moderating. I agree, it's really up to the parents of the "children" to babysit them, not PDV....however, we have to try and be somewhat responsible on this end, so that it's not a "free for all"...I think PDV has done all that is expected of her, quite nicely! Thanks Ron for taking on yet another headache ! Has anyone thought of going to asigned pin numbers, you don't have pin ya don't get in!! Any combination of numbers or letters and numbers, you would have to supply proof of age via ss# to be asigned a pin combination!! Any other suggestions? |

Obviously I have no idea what happened here, and really don't want to know....I do know that in most cases the moderators here do a terrific job. I know Ron really does care what is posted where, and what is appropriate. I know I've been as bad or worse than anyone as to what's appropriate, and honestly, I've tried my damndest to adhere. I know I get off color many times, but I'm trying to kick this habit. I do hope things get back to a "norm" soon and there are no hard feelings between any of you fine folks. I've enjoyed the works of all that seem involved in this controversy, though I'm not aware of "the" controversy.....I do hope no feelings are bruised and that all returns to normal soon... Fatwah, You will have to email Ron or Poet DeVine to gain access to the adult forum. It is no longer accessed by password but directly by user names which have been ok'd. Michael |
