Boot+Kitty=Poetry in motion
I must confess to omitting words from my poems. I swear that I read my poems over and over, but sometimes I still miss the omitted word or the typo. My eyes dance too much, I suppose.
As for consistent errors (e.g., there instead of their)... grrrrr... that drives me crazy because I can still get through the poem but I lose some of the thread (and I NEED a lot of thread).
As for dark poetry - I find myself straying toward darker subjects sometimes because my mood turns dark. I confess that I did write a very very dark poem, but I rewrote it after a short time - sorry about that, Red. Perhaps we could have an outlet for that, too? I need to be a villain once in awhile, because only writing about sunshine and heartache doesn't tap into who I am. I suspect it doesn't completely reflect who most of us are.
Perhaps, we could have a poetry board devoted strictly to teaching? There is so much I have yet to learn, and just reading examples doesn't always work for me. Nan's wonderful challenges are a gold mine for me (and others). If Nan would deign to send just a touch of her wonderful lore our way, I would be forever in her debt.
