Clocks ahead and you lose sleep
earthly time edges up hills, it creeps
Care I whether the days get longer?
Isn't my right hand still the stronger?

left foot first and then the other
turning clocks for seasons, why bother?
nothing gained is nothing lost
mechanize clock movements, timeless costs.

celebrated rites of fresher seasons
'Waiting for Godot' is more the reason
takes half a year to lengthen your day
the remainder stretches the other way.

dial a service and they're late
forget that clocks tick in haste;
dumbwaiters miss their call on cue
with seasonal changes what can we do?

(smiles) Ah, those silly days, it sure can indeed cause a lot of little problems! LOL! This is a wonderful poem about the troubles of daylight savings, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Great write, Martin......
I absolutely HATE daylight savings time.
When I was a kid, I used to think that they took the hours and put them in some kind of savings bank.
