. . .of a Passion that Burns

Avowed was I, to prosper among grief
Creature lovely, a scented bud of relief
Once reached out, now my arm by its side
The gain, the loss, that no face could hide

To speak of your faults could only be slander
Away from truth, if toward sin it meanders
Let me rage on in passion: fired and upright
Beside silver white promises on thru a night

Look neither there, nor another's face on
tis' my melting love that your gaze is upon
In a way, it's a war that must now be fought
With a parry or thrust - of instinct - not taught

Your heart woos me still, and hears my pleads
Your hands lily prisons to bestill all my needs.
Your kiss but wax seals - a captive gives in
Your arms, but an altar in which to live in

O, bask in the heat, of dismantled sun eyes
have you not lead away, this broker of lies
and left in its place, sweet candle that burns
quench celestial breezes of what a heart yearns!

I've been there, Jeff........this is beautifully done...

From the depths of bottomless caverns the fire burns us, and yet as we give in, we are to rise and salvage another bright day.
Always beautiful writes. ThisDiamond

Madame GreatMunkSter:
and I am sorry that you have been there, in the throes
of that sad first stanza.  Fairy tales, such as ours,
ALWAYS have a happy ending, tho!

SeyDude:  Thanks for going along for the ride!
You are always welcome to go, and Thank you!

*Sun*shine*:   only when love is finally secured
will I take that bow that is sidekick to the applause.
Wish me luck!  Thanks so much for the rays of happy!

Martie:  ~smiling~  oftentimes toooooo deep, Martie,
that most I think get bogged down in my words to stay
on the same page with me.  My fault. . .its just my insane style!

Bonnie/Morcastlin:  Flow is tremendously important to me;
been known to invert many a poem because the flow didn't flow!
Thanks Lady!

aww Noah….you words give me such pleasure, and they
inspire me to always be at my very best.  Thank you for them!

Nancy-of-Enchantress fame:
spoken only from my heart while my Lady was gone for the
weekend.  Ohhhhhh the humanity of it all!  *smiles*

JamesMichael:  What a pleasure, what a treasure
to bear your praise on my shoulders.  Thank you!

TD:   ohhhhh Verrrrry cool response!!! Verry Cool!
but you are A-1 right-O, mon ami!

Dulcy:  my heart rings true
with only thoughts of you.
Its only a small gift,
but pleased you liked it!  BB

Thankx Y'all, and hope you had a GRRRRRRReat weekend!

OH MY GOODNESS!
Please help me off the floor because I have certainly melted into one HUGE puddle at your feet after reading this poem, Sir. This is beyond lovliness.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
