awkward beginnings-- wondering what, if, how is it that this thing stirs within me... and now that we have become us i wonder what i missed by not having noticed sooner... i watch your face as we make love in the light of morn your eyes as gentle pools of gray-blue sea i smile-- thinking of all the ways you already tell me you love me... if you could not speak if i could not hear your kiss would breathe your truth into me-- i would know... everything that is you have i looked for... i've traveled storms of wrong decisions and met the calm of sweet release and here here is where i find you... you came to me when i least expected-- when my search had stilled you touched me ...and this involuntary smile has yet to be erased... who knew-- it was you... -dgvarner 4-1-02 kdr |
