My heart’s been blessed with emotion
and grateful is my soul for you
but silence can kill devotion
as indifference alters one’s view

Forever you will remain, here
within the very depths of me
yet no chains have I, to keep you near
instead, bittersweet memory

Love never dies,  only transforms
in sentiment evolution
holding fast through life’s wicked storms
with no unwanted intrusion

I’ll not demand, nor will I cry
I’ll wish you well, and say goodbye

Susan,
Who are you and what have you done with her. I'm positive she would in fact cry. Alone maybe, but she would cry.

You are one fine poet friend. Just fine.

Time to turn the page??
SEA, you have such a unique way.
Crying doesn't solve anything
but damn it feels good.
I don't like bottling it up
for too long, probably cuz I
don't have a big enough bottle.
I just pour it all out and
keep my glass half full.
Loved this SEAgal~

Sea

I know some times this that was becomes a memory made from tears unshed.  It does not make it less love, and may make it more.  I really liked this poem and its message.

each of us has their own way of showing emotion..but tears would be shed whether real
or figuratively. Nicely done

This poem definitely is a goodie! Crying can be therapeutic but too much crying is no good! Loved it girly

Written with such wisdom, Sue....
I truly believe that love never dies...if you love someone, you never stop loving them but that love can transform into a different type of love.

Thanks for sharing this gem with us....

Sea, I really like this. Tis' true, love never does die. And, emotions are so hard not to show, sometimes. I tend to hide my feelings. Especially, emotional ones. Thank you for sharing this.
P. S. I am at work right now. Not suppose to be in here. But, I just couldn't help myself. LOL!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Susan, this is so very sad but beautiful, deep down I know with all my heart love never dies but only helps us grow stronger and more compassionate when we are forced to leave it behind and we learn on how to try and nurture it! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Some love’s are like that aren’t they? They just take hold of you and never let go. You’ve penned the emotion well Susan.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

This is stunning, SEA... I kept reading my heart... It took me a long time to get to those last two lines... both in the poem and in life. *S* Sometimes we have to let go of everything but our memories... you've written that process with bittersweet perfection. *S*
